Who has brought down this flaming anger? Who has brought the army with its drums? Barbarous kings with hearts full of greed… And sorrow, sorrow, sorrow like rain Sorrow in going and sorrow back again Children of war play on blood-soaked fields Up on the North Gate, the wind blows full of sand I have watched, a long lonely time Trees change, the leaves go yellow with Autumn I climb the towers to watch over this barbarous land… Watching over this land
